Scouts

Winter activities typically include a little drill, an outdoor wide game and an indoor game such as 'Spotlight'. This is supplemented with work towards the Scout Proficiency Badge scheme.

During the summer, the troop goes sailing and kayaking, working through the BCU Paddlepower training scheme.

We have a waiting list and do prioritise to families within our parish boundaries, although it is unusual for a Scout to join the Group in this way. We do however value Leader contribution and as we will need new Leaders, if a parent or relation signs up to the training programme to become a Uniformed Leader, this will alter the Leader to Scout ratio and we shall be able to consider a new Scout joining. Please let us know if you are looking to join as a Uniformed Leader and we shall forward your details to the Group Scout Leader.
